Supporting food insecurity, education, and local causes are core to our community involvement mission, and during the pandemic, our team quickly assessed where there were the biggest gaps and reached out to identify how we could best support our partners.
As a result, Talcott Resolution has accelerated over $25,000 of planned donations to our core partners to immediately address the needs in our communities related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to planned support, we donated $25,000 to two COVID-19 relief funds that provide grants to organizations supporting those impacted, $2,500 to Windsor, Connecticut public schools to allow families to close any gaps with distance learning, and we provided over 800 meals to healthcare workers through local restaurant donations totaling $6,500. Our employees further rose to the occasion to generate an additional $18,000 for our partner Foodshare in support of their Walk Against Hunger.
